La International Cinephile Society escogió a Margaret como la Mejor película de la década. En la selección, que como toda lista se somete al escrutinio y las discusiones de los cinéfilos que tienen sus propias preferencias, se colocó en segundo lugar el drama familiar The Tree of Life, de Terrence Malick.
La International Cinephile Society fue creada en el 2003, opera como un organismo online integrada por alrededor de 120 periodistas acreditados, estudiantes cinematográficos, historiadores y otros profesionales de la industria que suelen participar y darle cobertura a los principales festivales de cine a nivel mundial. Liderada por su presidente, Cédric Succivalli, cada año la ICS reconoce «lo mejor» del cine americano y de otros países del mundo.
